Mood Board

Transitional Living Room Inspiration

February 7, 2022

Transitional living room inspiration. Are you looking for living room inspiration? Or do you like certain things but don’t know how to put it all together? Here are two similar, but different mood boards that I have designed to give you inspiration and maybe help you see it all together.

Usually when I start my mood boards, I find initial inspiration from anywhere, disregarding the price. Once I get the look I want, then I start trying to find cheaper versions of each piece. Please note that I have not researched more affordable options for each item here so they will be on the pricey side!! Stay tuned for another post showing great dupes at great prices.

Option A

If I were to pick between these two mood boards, I would have to say this mood board (option A) is my favorite! I love the mix of materials and colors in this space. Neutral spaces usually have my heart but I think this is the perfect amount of color and the perfect amount of neutral-ness. (Is that a word??) Each furniture is different but they all work together very nicely. And that chandelier… If I had endless money, would be my DREAM. I use it in almost all my mood boards because it works with SO SO many styles.

Chandelier | Rug | Floor Lamp | Accent Chair | Leather Ottoman | Coffee Table | Sofa | End Table | Lamp

  1. Chandelier. This chandelier is an ultimate showstopper. As I said earlier it can be used across many styles. I love everything about it but the price tag. To me, it’s a winner.
  2. Rug. Love the print and the muted tones. Can work with alike colors or bring in some mahogany colored tones as shown above.
  3. Floor lamp. This lamp looks very high end but you can actually find it at really great prices. We have one way less expensive in our nursery actually!
  4. Accent chair. I love the texture on this chair. The spindle legs have my heart and the neutral color is a great in between color of the leather poufs and sofa.
  5. Leather ottoman. I’m in love with these. It brings a touch of masculinity to the space and brings in warmth.
  6. Coffee table. So pretty. The color is swoon worthy and the shape of the legs make it more modern.
  7. Sofa. Classic, neutral, comfortable.
  8. End table. Love that this material gives

OPTION B

I also love this mood board for different reasons than the first. This one is a little bit edgier and if I KNEW that my style wouldn’t change constantly, I’d actually pick this option first. It is a great mix of color and pattern. I love how the chandelier ties in with the ottomans. If I felt like this style was a little more classic and wouldn’t go out of style fast, this would be an absolute winner for me. I’d love to know your thoughts and which one you enjoyed most!
