Hey guys! I hate to say this but it’s been two weeks since I’ve made a blog post and for that I’m sorry! I have a list of topics I want to blog about but it’s been so hard finding the time!! I have recently been spending my extra free time learning CAD (a computer software I downloaded for design), working on backyard plans, and tinkering with my photography / videography so the blog has taken a back seat.
I have been on the hunt for the perfect set of salt and pepper shakers for months to replace our current store bought ones. Don’t get me wrong I don’t mind them, but since I’m doing all this cooking now, why not make it LOOK good too. After looking around the internet for months for wooden shakers, I decided to change my direction and look for a different material. How fun would it be if we could incorporate marble into the mix?! While I love mixing in warm tones, I figured since I always use wooden cutting boards for styling, why not change it up and add marble this time! I found this gorgeous vintage marble set on ebay for less than $20!
As you can see, I already have 2 wood tones going on in this vignette so I love the way that the marble breaks up the warmth and brings in cool tones. Don’t be afraid to play around with different types of materials and colors in your space!
I have linked some really cute shakers and most of them at really great prices. Happy decorating to you!
