Here are my easter thoughts. As someone who has trouble “sitting still” I really wanted to take a detour from design and share my thoughts. I beat myself up if I don’t get everything I want accomplished that day. And I let it effect my mood. It seems we live in a society where we praise hard work and productiveness (almost to a fault- my personal opinion haha). I’m here to tell you that it’s okay to also relax and have fun! I do believe it is something we need too do.

Matthew 28:5-6 NIV

The angel said to the women, “Do not be afraid, for I know that you are looking for Jesus, who was crucified. ⁶ He is not here; he has risen, just as he said. Come and see the place where he lay.

Jesus is risen! When I think about all the things I need to do or want to do, I am reminded especially today that all those things don’t compare to what Jesus has done for us. Adding to what I was saying earlier, as a creative I struggle with inspiration sometimes. I feel like I can get stuck and this is the perfect timing to teach me to take it slow and enjoy this moment and the meaning of Easter. So today I’m focusing on what Christ has done for us. All of those other things on my to do list can wait.
